Happy Halloween! Please be reminded that your front yard lamp post MUST remain turned on all night tonight (regardless of your participation in passing out candy).  It is a safety hazard and a violation of the governing documents.    If you are not participating in trick-or-treating, please turn your porch light off only. 

Just a friendly reminder all GFL/Shiffletts trash containers MUST be placed curbside (on front sidewalk) tomorrow evening, December 29, 2022 for Thursday, December 30, 2022 pickup.  Trash containers do not need to be emptied for pickup.    American Hauling WILL NOT start until January 3, 2023.  If you are putting trash in the new containers, it will not be collected until after the new year by the new company. 

Villages of Salem Station is happy to announce the switching of trash contractors from GFL/Shifflett's to American Hauling. Please have your GFL/Shifflett's trash container(s) curbside (in the front yard) on Friday, December 30, 2022.  IF YOUR CONTAINER(S) ARE NOT CURBSIDE, GFL WILL BE CHARGING YOU (THE LOT OWNER) A $75.00 FEE.  New, American Hauling trash containers will be delivered between Saturday, December 31, 2022 and Tuesday, January 3, 2023.  Trash pickup will remain in the rear of the townhouse and will remain on Tuesdays and Fridays. 

Please be reminded to lock your car doors, there have been car break-ins in the Villages of Salem recently. 

All trash (including cardboard boxes) must be placed inside a sealed trash bag and put into trash containers for timely pickup.  If there is loose trash placed in the Shifflett's/GFL container it will not be collected. If you cannot fit something into a trash bag, contact management for a bulk pickup OR take it to the landfill.     Due to Thanksgiving being on a scheduled pickup day- all trash pickup for Thursday has been pushed one day forward; to Friday, November 25, 2022.

As a reminder - please be caution of your surroundings.  Villages of Salem Station was once swamp lands and is still a nesting ground for snakes.  The county has posted signs in the woods along the perimeter in certain areas of high threat of copperheads.  Copperheads like to hide in piles of wood; for your safety it is not recommended to leave piles of wood on your porch or near doors.   Please understand that the HOA has been told NOT to disturb this area or relocate the snakes as they are considered "protected animal".

GFL (formally known as Shifflett's) observes the following holidays, which will likely affect trash service days: Memorial Day 4th of July Labor Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day New Years Day 

Shenandoah Landscaping will be in the community Tuesday April 12, 2022 or Wednesday April 13, 2022 to apply turf pre-emergent.  While this is a harmless treatment it is a granular product that sits atop the soil until it dissolves in the rain.   If you have pets, please keep this in mind especially when walking them outside/in common areas over the next few days.

Due to scheduling conflicts tonight’s (March 15, 2022) Board meeting has been cancelled (no Board quorum).  The next meeting will be held April 19, 2022.

Please contact management if your brown chihuaha with blue eyes has gone missing.  It was found near Salem Village Drive

Due to the inclement weather and poor road conditions Shifflett's will be canceling all services on for Monday Tuesday and now Wednesday (1/3 - 1/5).

Due to the inclement weather today all trash and recycling services will be on a one day delay. Monday service will be Tuesday, Tuesday service will be Wednesday, Wednesday service day will be Thursday ,Thursday service day will be Friday,Friday service day will be Saturday. We will keep you updated if anything changes on further service days.

Please be advised Villages of Salem Station is switching banks effective January 1, 2022.  You should be receiving the new coupon books and budget package in the mail (if you haven't already).  PLEASE remember to cancel your current auto draft.  Any payments sent to the old account will not be received, this is the same for any ACH payments.  If you would like to setup a new auto draft please visit https://pay.allianceassociationbank.com/Home?cmcid=89A52987 no sooner than Friday, December 10, 2021. Trash will be collected during regaular pickup days next Tuesday, November 23, 2021 but delayed one day (Saturday November 27, 2021) for Thanksgiving.
